Pattern and color of soup plates very appealing, which are quite adequate in size and depth. Since made of porcelain (which was important to me), not bulky and the glaze can stand something, so far no scratches in the plate. The underside is not coarse or rough, so no scratching on my wooden tabletop. The plates have been in the dishwasher several times and everything is fine. I also have the dinner set of the same series for four people, making a very great eye-catcher on the dining table. It's a very good buy for me.
