This is a beautiful clock & it's exactly what I was looking for. The trim around it really makes it pop and it's easy to read. I read that it is not silent...If it's making any ticking sounds, then they must be very quiet because I have not noticed any sounds at all. We have it hanging in our kitchen/dinette area. I am very happy with this purchase.
